My final major project was purely inspired by electricity and technology. My main focus was the interiors of electrical devices and circuit boards. My plan was to take them apart and record the detail, patterns, colours and shapes which I found inside. I decided to zoom in on the more intricate areas and create a range of drawings from what I saw. I then scanned in my drawings and created patterns from them using Photoshop. My aim for this project was to create a range of wallpaper designs from the patterns and shapes that can be found in my drawings. I have a mixture of both 3D and flat designs and I have also created some wallpaper pieces that light up from either natural or artificial lighting. I believe that my wallpaper designs are best suited for a commercial space such as a stylish bar or restaurant.
