BA (Hons) Three Dimensional Design

Autumn Etherington

Inspired by the forms and textures of nature alongside the organic qualities of my materials, I produce one-off ceramic pieces. Through drawing I explore nature and use my studies to inspire the form and surface qualities of my ceramic work. My work is influenced by the organic, unrefined aesthetics of traditional Japanese Raku ware, produced with a more contemporary approach combining subtle colours and surfaces from nature. Individually crafted, my work is ergonomic, with a subtle palate and unique surface.
