BA (Hons) Fine Art

Marta Suuster

My work is all about lines and colour. I am interested of capturing the single moment when the movement has already been made. I started to paint dancers this spring. As a very good dancer, I understand dance and the beauty of it. It is very close to my heart and I think this is one of the reasons why I started to paint dancers. With these paintings I want to express the movement, freedom and beauty dancing creates. I consciously chose the colours subdued to put all attention on dancers. I wanted the colours to emphasise the dynamical flow dancers create.

In my studio practice I get inspiration from everyday life. I am interested of poetry, philosophy and dancing.
