BA (Hons) Textiles

Sophie Watson

I have designed a collection of woven samples, which are suitable for a contemporary fashion/interior purpose. I’ve studied architectural structures and colourful lights, reflected on water both night and day. This influenced my bright colour palette. My designs demonstrate a range of hand and digital woven processes influenced by my drawings, collages & photography taken in Salford Keys, Blackpool and Liverpool. My designs have a textured and 3D quality, achieved through woven structures and the washing and shrinking processes of wool.
