BA (Hons) Architecture

Susanna Elmnainen

I'm a Part 1 Architecture graduate interested in sustainable urbanism, and the cultural identity of a place.

My final year project is concerned with urban regeneration and is inspired by the Manchester 2012 summer rioting. The conceptual development focuses of flows of material in the city. The built form seeks to regenerate the post-industrial suburb of Moss Side by combining the local eco-system and cultural diversity in a low-skill production process. The building enforces the unique cultural identity of the place, and becomes a catalyst for urban as well as ecological regeneration.

I am currently looking for work as a Part 1 Architectural Assistant in the UK, and overseas. Please contact me if you would like to see more of my work.
