Reintegrated | City aims to provide a vehicle for the homeless community to begin to drive their reintegration back into society. Communication with the local population and an events space through which performance and interaction can occur enables the scheme to prepare its residents for life outside its walls along side training and counselling facilities.
Strong zoning throughout the project enables different languages to exist in harmony with each other, an extroverted ground floor becomes a catalyst for public / homeless interaction. The introverted nature of the upper floors provides privacy and isolation after the over exposure of a life on the streets. These zones enable the program to generate an artificial barrier between the homeless and society which can then be gradually dissolved.
I am looking for a placement around Manchester where I can develop the skills needed for part II. I use Revit alongside hand drawing and other software.
