BA (Hons) Three Dimensional Design

Francis Killeen

I love wood. It is the most abundant and renewable building material, this planet has. In my humble opinion, it is also the most beautiful. When I design furniture, I am influenced not only by the natural characteristics of the material, but also by the many great furniture makers that have gone before me and in particular, those from the mid century. At the same time I try to give my pieces a contemporary edge and a healthy amount of personality.

My pieces of furniture are made with a passion for quality and an understanding of style. I believe that, with a mix of digital manufacturing and traditional bench skills, every piece has all the charm of yesterday and with the precision of today.
