BA (Hons) Photography

Hannah Osbaldiston

My work explores the relationship between the transitions we make in life and the emotional memories we collate.

With influences such as Sam Taylor Wood, Cari Ann Wayman and Hayashi Natsumi, my work stems from the idea of feeling or becoming free within in a space.

I have always been fascinated by the concept of portraying an emotion or feeling through a figure or landscape to convey a subtle sense of naivety and freedom.

Having recently moved house and leaving everything I currently knew behind me, I wanted to focus on the act of my own transition into my new landscape whilst also referring back to old feelings and memories, which were still extremely comforting to me.
