BA (Hons) Architecture

Jennifer Sewart

My project is a community co-working centre, which includes a crèche, meeting rooms and event facilities and shared equipment such as 3D printers. Run as a cooperative, the centre enables the local creative community to share companionship and ideas and to help local people become involved in creative industries. It also acts as a focus for the “creative forum” linking MediaCity, Salford University, the local creative businesses and the community.

I am interested in approaching architecture from the point of view of people and communities, low-energy, inclusive buildings and the history and identity of place.

I am a mature student, based in South Manchester and currently seeking a part 1 placement in the Greater Manchester area.
