Johanna Myers
I am a cheerful, chatty, enthusiastic and energetic graphic designer, looking to work with a creative collective of people/diverse design agency and contribute to a team. I am eager to learn through observation and experience so I can add to my skill set. I enjoy all aspects of design and like to do concept based work through various types of print design, typography and vector illustration.

This poster is one of a set of three based on the idea that without the fans there would be no atmosphere within football. I added a bigger theme, looking at the effect football has on the body of not just the football players, but the fans themselves - whether that be inside their bodies or using their physical body parts.

A couple of images of one concertina booklet from a set of two. This project looks at how I spent my summer in 2013 - working at a bakery shop every Sunday. I collected information about how many bagels and buns I sold every Sunday throughout my summer and how many of each type. One concertina booklet shows the type of bagel/bun and how much of that type was sold every Sunday (starting small for the least sold, and going larger the more sold), and the other shows how many bagels and buns were sold that specific Sunday.

These are two images from a booklet I created about Body Distortion. Using found images, I looked at the various ways (past and present) people distort and manipulate their body. This project allowed me to experiment with manipulating the text to reflect the certain types of body distortions I looked into.

From the previous project about Body Distortion, this image shows a letter from 6 typefaces that I created for that project.

These two images show part of a publication I created with a course friend. One being the front cover, the other being one spread from the publication. This collaboration looks at aspects of the football match day experience and re-imagining the football design that is already out there to create a more modern look. We looked at aspects such as the die hard fans you come across, the typical food that people eat, what chants are sung, the post match madness and many more.
