Located next to the Albert Hall on St Peter Street an “Artisan Brewery” was established due to research into Deansgate. Fermenting the theme of both an acknowledged and unacknowledged figure into the cityscape was the objective. The result is a building that acknowledges the historic resemblance of the Albert Hall yet creates a similar yet unique rhythm of a new façade. The subtleties lie in how the fermenter tank protrudes through the ground floor to be seen from the street. Upstairs, the room for a multifunctional event space combined with the glimpse of the brewery museum gives an ideal location for a market where one can eat and observe the spaces within.
