“The lyf so short, the craft so longe to lerne...”
Geoffrey Chaucer, Parlement of Foules

Consisting of traditional letterpress, screen printing, relief printing and book binding workshops, The Print Mill is a workplace, a factory celebrating and promoting the once niche and specialist craft forms. The programme allows users to discover and rediscover the artistic opportunities traditional printmaking has to offer. The perforated brick facade echoes the craftsmanship presented in the work involved and shares the same tectonic language of the neighbouring industrial buildings in Manchester. Reusing the existing Union Bank building, The Print Mill is a project of old meeting new; craft meeting industry.
