Spectrum of beauty.

The images shown present a collection of face wipes gathered from women ranging in age from 16-48 and coming from different strata of society. The project started as and exploration of the pressures that are put on women to look a certain way to please other people. However as the collection grew the focus shifter to considering the women’s diversity.

The work also touches on feminist and sexist issues in todays society. However the main focus is on the face wipe as an object. On the patterns, shapes and shades left by the removed make-up.
