As a Textile Designer, I am fascinated with testing and pushing the boundaries of Knitted Textiles. I am also intrigued by the tactility and possibilities of materials and how they can be manipulated.
I have explored the concept of contamination and how clean spaces can become disturbed by the unexpected. This has resulted in a range of knitted samples that merge contrasting fabrics such as latex with cotton and other more conventional yarns. Thus creating an enticingly tactile selection of fabrics intended for a high-end womenswear fashion context and explore a variety of techniques and intricate attention to detail.
I am also interested in exploring and identifying immerging trends and future thinking, which could influence aspects of textile design. I have created a number of trend publications, with a particular focus on texture and colour information.
