Using a combination of digital software, photography and painting my practice focuses on creating experimental textiles for fashion and fashion accessories. Current work explores the stereotyped norms of gendered clothing and behavior, exploring objects and pattern that typically characterize. I am also inspired by pattern found within both urban and natural environments.
From this I have developed a number of digital print collections that vary in colour and design. I have also focused on the product design of fashion accessories, with the intention to add a new dimension to the familiar scarf. Adding pockets to large silk scarves is the outcome of an investigative design process and product development.
