Three Dimensional Design

My practice is driven by material quality. Using archaeology as inspiration I began by looking at historic artefacts from the Bronze-Age and interrogating the delicacy of the remaining material.

Using non-precious metals and porcelain to  create related objects and contemporary wearables. Inspired not only by ancient objects, but urban street finds. Visually illustrating how contemporary archaeology holds the same value within the development of my work as historic artefacts.

Through the exploration of copper, brass and porcelain I developed a body of work in response to my urban finds. Creating a relationship between found objects and the hand made to communicate preciousness inspired by disregarded objects.
