Textiles in Practice

I am a textile designer who works across the specialisms of both embroidery and print with strong interest in developing and creating bespoke fabrics for womenswear. The inspiration for my degree show is derived from drawings and paintings that play with the idea of finding order and pattern through seemingly random mark making processes.

Using a combination of printed fabrics and embroidery techniques, I have created a range of samples intended to be imbued with a playful and vivid aesthetic, with particular attention being given to relief surface textures and the dynamic interplay between colour and shape.
