Textiles in Practice
BA(Hons)

Throughout my final year studying printed textile design I have been inspired by botany and the natural world, Ideas are developed through hand drawing and digital processes, combining and contrasting elements has been an over riding concept throughout my work, creating unexpected but beautiful combinations.

The collection of scarves, entitled “Unearthly” are inspired by florals, using bold photographic elements. Colours are digitally manipulated to create a vibrant, unnatural mood. Bright florals are combined with delicate silhouettes and hazy backgrounds. Motifs are large scale to create bold outcomes, rich in detail with maximum impact for the high end market.

Post graduation, I intend to set up an online luxury brand, selling digitally printed woman’s accessories.
