In my work sculptural forms and objects map the lived, nuanced and paradoxical experience of the matriarch. These formal qualities reference the body and invoke a certain psychological state. Dichotomous elements exist in harmony and conflict, occupying both a space of beauty and abjection existing in one being. They are assembled in ways that range from the delicate and vulnerable, monolithic and imposing to teetering on the edge of collapse.
