My work revolves around the notion of the repeated image. I continually re-draw and re-print from old prints I have made. Every new print I make informs the next. The continual repetition of drawn and printed shapes has caused the images to become fragments of what they once were.
I have experiemented printing on a variety of materials, however most recently I have been working with muslin cotton. Due to the loose weave of the fabric the screen printed shapes don’t always print perfectly, which further fragments the printed images. I create installations with these printed fabrics, playing with the transparent nature of the muslin which creates a sense of fragility and subtly.
