Fine Art

My work explores themes surrounding Consumerism and the notion of possessions. It is an attempt to consider my own role as a consumer by presenting the footprints of each of the objects I own, thus recording my footprint on society. This stems from my desire to become a more aware and responsible consumer. Some of the shapes reveal the object they originate from and others are more ambiguous; this is intended to make the piece extremely personal whilst inspiring intrigue in the viewer. The hanging structure the piece takes creates heightened visibility whilst introducing an aspect of distortion, consolidating the items into one unifying form.
