My final year project constitutes a transportation hub bringing together various systems that operate within Stockport. Incorporating the pre-existing bus station, proposed Metrolink tram extension and an elevated cycle path to create layered infrastructure which mimics the urban fabric of Stockport itself. Links to Manchester provide facilities for the thousands of commuters that live nearby whilst on-site motel accommodation and public garden make contributions back to Stockport. The intricate steel trussed frame creates a delicate shell which encompasses the building, including the modular concrete core – providing a materialistic contrast. The garden and external landscape uses strategic planting to blur the distinction between inside and out.

I am a hard-working and passionate person with a keen interest in design and planning associated with construction, architecture and landscape architecture.
