My textiles practice comprises of a creative mix of traditional screen-printing techniques that are combined with unconventional and experimental mixed media processes. My work is heavily influenced by urban street culture. Process methodology includes manipulating my own photographic imagery, metaphoric records that reference ‘the streets’ as I see them today. My work is predominately developed towards a fashion context designing fabrics and textile surfaces that discuss the characteristics of urban life. Throughout my final year I have continued to develop and explore a range of processes and materials that express urbanistic qualities. Alongside my passion for printed textiles, I am also interested in other fashion related areas such as art direction and styling.
