Manchester Textile Centre relates to the sites historic past of the Industrial Revolution. It brings back production to the area in a personal and hand crafted way. Allowing the public to watch how the product is made and then have a go in their own craft area. The flow of the product is important with each level transporting its goods to the next stage of the process in a feature chimney. The top level is the design team followed by weaving, sewing and screen printing. Finishing on the ground floor with a market place to sell the products. The market spreads out onto the square and into archways in the railway. Allowing the building to merge into the square.
