Alexandra Boocock

In my final project I produced a publication exploring the art of Japanese dining. The focus is around the rule of five in which the Japanese use to base most dishes. The rule of five consists of five colours, five flavours (sweet, sour, bitter, salty and spicy) and five ways of cooking (steam, grill, boil, fry and raw). I have taken an editorial approach to my degree show, however my interests also lie in campaign artwork after being noted as outstanding for my submission to the creative conscience awards. This project consisted of visualising hearing loss in order to get people talking about this impairment in the younger generation.
