Aoife Devlin

Aoife Devlin is a process based artist who explores the use of materiality and form. Her practice questions materials and in particular has led to a focus of the term ‘Tropism’; the turning of all or part of an organism in a particular direction in response to an external stimulus. By doing so, it has allowed for her practice to become experimental being greatly influenced by the juxtaposition of soft, fluid materials versus hard and strong. Thus resulting in unpredictable forms allowing viewers to interpret them freely without the restriction of a forced concept or known end result.
