Charlotte Follows

Inspired by observing the effects the Urban Environment has on our behaviour I have been working towards enriching experiences in the city through object installation. Creating connections with the city initiated my interest within the public sector, encouraging development into public furniture. The concept behind this design comes from investigating the effects the Urban Environment has on our well-being, wanting to improve the way people feel about urban spaces was integral to the development of this project. The armchair has been designed in response to urban escapism, taking influence from interior armchair design and adapting and evolving the aesthetic to create a playful and striking design that invites the user to interact.
