Martha Jayne Taylor

The imagination is a powerful tool which inspires my personal style. I aim to excite the eyes of the viewer and to stimulate others’ imaginations. As a designer, I aspire to produce work which possess a unique and playful quality through the combination of knitted forms and mixed media sculpture.

My holds a multifunctional context, bordering on the lines of fashion and installation. It reflects on my own childhood playtime alongside bright colour combinations to encourage our childlike sensitivity to interact and observe. I will continue experimenting within the textiles specialism of knit with the combination of mixed media experimentation to promote peoples natural instinct to play.
