(Re)-Connect

A collection of objects aimed to assist the wearer during the mourning process by reconnecting the mourner to the departed loved one through means of physical touch. The objects represent’s the re-established physical closeness once shared between mourner and the departed loved one via skin to skin contact.

When applied to the mourner’s body the objects serve as a surrogate for the missing skin contact, providing the mourner with something to physically hold on to. The objects are to be played with and explored absentmindedly in a setting where the mourner feels comfortable using the objects.
