Jessica Rodnight

I am a visual, light and installation artist currently exploring the potential of light as a material. I desire to communicate a dreamy utopian world, blurring the line between the physical and the supernatural, in order to create an escape from reality. Immaterial forms such as shadow and light that redefine and generate new dialogues within three-dimensional space are used to create atmospheric and fragile photographic images.I work with a mixture of iridescent cellophane, dichroic film, acetate and mirrors aiming to obscure time and reality. Through this sampling I have developed a method of drawing using light.

I am a co-director and producer for Sense In Dimensions; in the future I intend to push the company further in interactive experience and stage production design.
