Susan Chapman

Susan Chapman’s printmaking practice focuses primarily on silk screen prints, drawing on photographic images of urban landscape and regeneration.  Through variations in light, colour and composition she evokes the transient nature of edgeland environments that are continually changing and threatened by development.  The prints are a personal response to an investigation of Manchester’s Edgelands and explore her perception of ‘place’ and a concern for the environment.
