Being a process-led designer, my work focuses around the investigation of materials and their different applications to processes. I believe the making behind an object holds greater value than the final outcome, therefore it is of great significance to me for my work to demonstrate how it was made and refined. 

'Blown' explores the transformative processes that can be applied to plastic. Each form derives from a combination of heat and pressure that causes the plastic to grow and expand in a way that is unpredictable. Capturing the undulation of each shape in a traditional ceramic material can change the perspective one views plastic, demonstrating just one of the unique capabilities of what is usually deemed an 'everyday', ordinary material.
