Jessica Smith

My work explores the two places I call home in West Yorkshire, drawing on the industrial landscape for inspiration. Quilting has become a strong element of my practise and I have worked on the digital quilter to create many of my designs, The three layers of fabrics are stitched and cutback  in a form of reverse applique to reveal different coloured cloths. In the future I would like to have a career in design, by working for a company in the textiles industry.
