Textiles in Practice

My practice is heavily focused on the environment. I work predominately with found, natural and recycled materials, consciously considering how I can limit my environmental impact.

Drawing is elemental to my practice and underpins the making processes. My work moves between sculpture, photography and video. I explore how time impacts the environment via repetitive making and the ephemeral properties of materials.

My work responds to specific places and locations. I was commissioned by Bruntwood to create a site-specific work at Riverside and was selected to make a piece for the Vertical gallery at MSoA. My influences are Land art and Arte Povera - where an emphasis is placed on natural materials and the processes of making.

Post-graduation I plan to develop my artistic practice by taking on more commission works and by participating in artist residency opportunities.
