I consider myself a multimedia artist interested in texture, surface and colour. My work is inspired by the slow growth, decay and change of natural structures and I create drawings that similarly evolve over time. Using media such as gloss paint on film substrates enables me to work with the innate qualities of the materials and exploit the different states of their physical composition and aesthetic properties as surfaces dry, wrinkle and contract. Two-dimensional drawings are also assembled in combination with the small artefacts made from plaster, resin and fabric, so that the relief of the drawn mark is juxtaposed with the three-dimensional representation of it. The work is aimed at trend inspiration for fashion or printed textiles.
