Textiles in Practice

Visual inspiration found in the delicacy of light rays has provided me with particular focus for my final woven collections. Capturing fluid forms through photography has encouraged a natural translation from image into woven structure. Utilising a dip-dye technique for my warp yarn has allowed for these refraction qualities from my photography to be translated into samples suitable for light diffusing blinds/ screens.

Photography has been a key element in the development of this work, it has provided strong primary research for the colour palette and surface pattern inspiration in the production of samples and ideas suitable for interior spaces.
