Jemima Jolley

I am a fashion knitwear designer specialising in Womenswear. For my final project I have been under the influence of the army exploring some of the complexities like the female role within the armed forces and more predominantly its close link with function. My work represents this investigation into function in a subtle yet playful manner through unique design features. A fundamental part of my practice this year has been working attentively with cottons, understanding how they behave and the limits they can be pushed to in order to create the dense quality I desire within my work. I love to combine multiple specialisms when designing, such as the use of digital and sublimation printing. I strive to pay high attention to detail to achieve the end result to the highest standard.
