Olivia Dean

I am a Textile Surface Designer specialising in homeware fabrics for luxury interior products. The form and function throughout my designs are a result of my continuous experimental research into combinations of traditional materials and techniques. As a composer of playful material combination, I have an intuitive approach towards design which focuses on shape, colour and material.

Whilst on exchange in Budapest I was trained in leather; a material I grew passion for and continued to explore throughout my practice. Working closely alongside a 3D designer, I produced a prototype piece of furniture, showcasing the potential applications of my surfaces. 

In the future I wish to continue challenging the potentials of different materials, whilst focusing on gaining experience within the design industry.
