Hannah Foster

Hannah Foster's practice centres around incorporating her love of theatre and cinema into her images. Hannah treats her images as a stage and another way to tell story's. Her current project 'Spilt Milk', is about her exploration into the idea that traditional femininity is a construction. Hannah began by exploring the history of Female Hysteria and how the stereotype of the over emotional female has followed women throughout history. Then through creating images that allow the viewer to form their own narratives, Hannah reveals femininity for what it truly is, a performance.
