Jessica Mcevoy

I would describe my practice as a performance artist that conveys my work through graphic design. I allow performance-based media to inspire my workings. In my work, I tackle the use of type, imagery - photography and illustration. Often evolving from some form of movement/performance. I allow emotion to drive my work forward, having a background in musical theatre defiantly gives me the knowledge of how to play to an audience, how to invoke certain emotions. Through out the years at MSoA I’ve enjoyed designing and creating a variety of publications. I love the performance that goes into exploring a book, the interaction between the object and the viewer. One ambition in life is to be associated in the behind scenes of theatre productions, designing artwork compelling audiences to immerse themselves in the occasion.
