I believe university has offered me a key insight into my skills and interests as a young designer, preparing me to work within a professional environment. My final collection project entitled ‘Multi’ is my footprint towards the world of design, developed from research into interactive textiles and emotionally durable design.
Within our fast-paced digital world we are constantly looking towards newer, quicker ways to develop and keep up to date. ‘Multi’ offers a future to this problem, embodying the opposite of a fast fashion wardrobe by recreating and reimagining ready-to-wear fashion. The ‘Multi’ ethos is something I want to establish, by creating new innovative material consumers feel a sense of personalisation. This enforces appreciation of product, which at a wider glance offers a long-lasting future for my designs.
