Megan Kavanagh

Specialising in printed textiles and surface pattern, my work is designed for wallpapers and home furnishings. Producing designs that work both commercially and bespoke, my prints focus on the importance of colour and pattern. Through an illustrative approach to drawing, tone and shape are highlighted within detailed and bold watercolour paintings.

The use of screen print enhances my work creating a dynamic element. Screen printing in block colour has allowed me to focus primarily on composition and line, to create interesting and organic shapes. This is layered over naturally dyed fabrics, to give my collections an organic feel.
