Within my work this year I have mainly focussed on nostalgia, using my childhood drawings within my work with the intent to encourage the viewers to reminisce about their childhood. 

We live in a world today where we strive to be the greatest, the wealthiest, a competition amongst man that could be seen as the post evolution survival of the fittest. “Approximately 1 in 4 people in the UK will experience a mental health problem each year.”  I think we forget to appreciate the moments we have enjoyed in the early stages of our life. The tent is a spin on the thinking pod, a space that cuts you off from the outside world, encouraging you to reminisce about your childhood, when experiences were new and exciting.
