Ideal Space

Based primarily on the works of Roy Anderson, Ideal Space uses a series of vignettes made in a small constructed set to follow the night of two upper-class workers as they’re trapped in a flat due to the protest occurring outside their building. Their conversations over the night reveal a lack of sympathy and empathy for those below as they throw mockery their way and show more concern for how they themselves have been put out by this protest. Eventually they find their abode threatened by an explosion that rocks the building after police wade into the crowds below, destroying the ideal space they were in; both physically and conceptually, forcing them to move on to another.
