BA (Hons) Textiles in Practice
My interest as a woven textile designer lies in testing the boundaries of materiality and exploring the limitless possibilities textile design can offer. Through interrogation of both conventional and unconventional materials I aspire to create innovative designs that break down traditional textile associations. I work with a variety of unique and interesting materials including concrete, rope, wire and my own experimental dipped yarn to investigate materiality. I am greatly inspired by textures found in nature to inform texture and pattern. Focusing on producing designs for CMF I have ensured my outcomes are suitable and flexible for diverse concepts.
