BA (Hons) Textiles in Practice
As a Textile and Knitwear Designer, my practice focuses on technique, material and construction. I use research and colour exploration to create practical aesthetic designs that explore form, structure and texture. I am interested in all craft and so often use a mixed-media approach in my work to push the boundaries of knit.This year I have explored many design avenues by using alternative materials in my work such as resin, concrete and acrylic. I take inspiration from the world around us and enjoy finding contrasting concepts and materials to explore the juxtapositions found when living in a city. After graduating I aim to focus on developing my own practice and designs through freelance work whilst also continuing to engage in the local artist community through facilitating workshops.
