Lauren's work is based on in-between spaces; the points in which the unhomely starts to become homely, and the unfamiliar becomes familiar. Her practice, which spans video installation, text art, painting, and sculpture, is all informed by a fascination with the materiality of lace.
Concerned with light, shadow, repetition and the fragility of materials; Lauren's work is shaped by the fact that she is a lacemaker as well as an artist.
