BA (Hons) Drama and Contemporary Performance
Artistically, I'm very interested in horror as a genre, autobiographical performance, interactivity/immersivity in theatre and exploring audience/performer social contracts. During my time at university I've developed a real interest in film and have incorporated these into my practice.
As someone who has always loved working with their hands, I've been very eager to embrace other artistic avenues developing my own film, helping build sets and spending my time in bookbinding making programmes to promote my own projects - since our return to campus in third year I've tried to make the most of the brilliant facilities at MMU.
Post-uni, I have a few projects brewing including a multi-media piece exploring 21st century neo-colonialism, a sequel to Val's Haunted Discotheque (which was a live streamed interactive performance in the format of a radio show I created during lockdown) and "This Counts As Therapy" (mapping the artist's mental health onto their hometown, weaving together autobiographical and civic history).
