Aliya Farakh King - MA Painting
A dreadful kind of curiosity
Working with themes exploring my interests in horror with figurative painting aluding to a narrative. Painted portraits and patterns to evoke a mix of emotions for audiences. With inspiration from artists Andrew Craston, Beatrice Lettus Boyle and John Singer-Sergant. I adore exploring colour and how bright colours can play in conjunction with more unsettling, eerie painted themes. Grammar of Ornament and Persian Miniature paintings have also been of great influence for the development of recent paintings.
