Lingua Viva
Narrative: Manchester's rapid urban regeneration poses a risk to the preservation of its local heritage. This project explored urban underground waterways throughout the city centre, covered over time amidst urban expansion processes.
Lingua Viva is a series of drinking water installations that aim to reimagine the route of the river Tib, one of Manchester's lost waterways. Lingua Viva is placed on regenerated city streets to mirror key points of the hidden river Tib below as a new path for a series of heritage interaction points.
